Castlerigg Sunrise
This incredible sunrise at Castlerigg Stone Circle could be mistaken for a volcanic eruption. I was lucky to be on my own at this normally busy spot in the Lake District. Taken in May after a spell of hot weather, the well trodden and scorched grass really lends itself to the colour of the sky. The snow covered peak Helvellyn.
