High Pike Sunset
This late spring evening I had my eye on the interesting cloud cover. About 20 minutes before sunset, the colour started to appear and I could feel that this was going to be something special. The road known as Ratten Row takes you down to Caldbeck and I had this composition in my mind the first time I came down this road. The view, looking over Caldbeck takes you to one of the most northern fells in the Lake District, High Pike. The last bit of sunlight just catches its peak which stands at 650m. The clouds turned this incredible pink colour and together with the gorse with its brilliant yellow I was really pleased to be able to capture this sunset.
Images are shown in low resolution. This takes away much of the fine detail that can be seen on the prints themselves. If you would like to see a high resolution version, please message me and I can send this to you using a secure website.
