Buttermere Valley from Rannerdale Knotts
This was the first time that I had walked up to the top of Rannerdale Knotts. It is not a high fell at just 350 meters, but the views are incredible as you look down Buttermere Valley towards Haystacks with Great Gable beyond. Towering over Buttermere is High Stile with High Crag & Red Pike either side. I stayed in this spot for hours enjoying this view. The cloud was heavy but with occasional breaks giving me some amazing light to work with. This often overlooked fell is well worth the short climb, especially on a clear day.
