Winnats Pass, Hope Valley, Greetings Card
This has to be the best temperature inversion I’ve seen at Hope Valley. To my surprise, there was only one other photographer there when I arrived, whom I got chatting to and was a thoroughly nice chap. The inversion was so thick and heavy, it really felt like I was standing above the clouds. From this position, it kept creeping up through Winnats Pass and then dissipating and the road was clear again. Here I’ve captured it as its just starting to move up the road. It was a superb morning and when I left after 4 hours, the inversion hadn’t lifted and was still as thick as when I arrived.
